Born in the suburbs of Northern California, Lori enjoyed drawing animals from a very young age.  Venturing out to drawing landscapes and still life's throughtout her school years.  After 10 years in the electronics industry, and a move to Colorado in 1982, she ventured out into the world of color, trying many mediums and finally focusing on watercolors in 1989 while raising her 2 children.

Her passion for animals is portrayed in many of her paintings.  She especially enjoys painting pets and capturing that special personality that attaches itself to our hearts.  While watercolor is her preferred medium, Lori enjoys working in oils, colored pencils, pastels, charcoal, mixed media, photography and computer aided design.  Having spent 8 years as a CAD specialist, working with numerous cad programs, she prefers to use the computer as a planning tool in forming her designs and compositions and turning them into beautiful pieces of art.  She views the computer as an artist's tool much like the invention of manufactured paint colors was centuries ago.
